Yes, the Clift family from Connecticut must be the ancestors of this fine fellow. I think my friend Linda Woody may be able to tell us more. We must find out more!
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer, I thank my distant cousin and friend Midge for posting about this on Facebook. I will be working on this family and hope to have the answer soon. I have deep roots in Elkader, Clayton, IA which include a Clift family line. That particular Clift line has ancestral roots in Mystic, Groton, and Stonington, New London, CT! I'll let Midge know.
